mix tape.

anybody out there remember mix tapes? well, i do. particularly the ones where i recorded off the radio, trying to start or stop so that i missed the dj's voice but got as much of the song as possible. (i'm stressed just thinking about it.) well, this isn't quite to that level but its still pretty cool. mix tape usb stick from suck uk.

stores up to 1 hour of high quality digital music - the same amount as you get on a c60 cassette tape. perfect for creating your own unique compilation or mix ‘tape’. when you have 60 minutes you have to think carefully about what you are going to put on there! write your own title, messages and play list all over the retro gift pack.

  1. aaaahhh, those were the days, crouching by the tape deck finger ready to press pause to edit out the chit chat and then quickly writing who the song was by (if you were lucky enough to be told!). I think I've thrown out all my radio tapes, would have been fun to go through them (although my taste in music has changed quite drastically from those days). still have one functioning walkman... remember the unbelievable crapness that were minidiscs?

am enjoying your recent posts, really like the donut tree... mmmmm...donuts...

  3. Mixtapes were delightful for all parties involved... well, except for the RIAA, but then again, they don't like anything really.

I used to make mix tape letters, where I'd do a little dj'ing on the songs, which was fun, though I think it made keeping them a little harder when things didn't work out.
