influences.

influences: a lexicon of contemporary graphic design by anna gerber and anja lutz. i spent a good chuck of time thumbing through this book at the icff and my favorite listings include the in sound from way out, hot wheels, benetton ads, and the national debt clock. besides, can you really go wrong with a book with the word 'lexicon' in the title? i think not.

this book looks at who or what is influencing, provoking, inspiring, and informing graphic designers today. it looks at the vast and seemingly endless spectrum of objects, memories, people, ideas, thoughts and references that form the backbone of any give creative project.
